Fatherhood??

On Saturday, my wife and I got chance to see a new addition to our friends family.  He is an aspiring photographer himself, but got into it more as a hobby to accompany his new child.  I had an opportunity to bring my 20D and a couple lens to see that kind of pics I could get.  Did not take that many, I was trying to see what kind of shots I could get with my 70-200mm f4 IS indoors and had a chance to test out my buddies new 100mm f2.8 macro.  That is a great lens with fast focusing.  Now if only I convince my wife to to let me add that to my collection.

I don’t have any pics with the 100 because it was on my buddies camera the whole time.  But I did manage to get some pics with my 70-200mm.  Lighting was not the greatest, but it would have to do, did not feel like taking out my flash.  My setup can be a beast with the on-shoe flash!!

Life…….

That last couple off weeks seem to have been a blur.  About two weeks ago I found out I was having a boy…..AMAZING!!!  I know my wife wanted a girl, but whatever we have, we are blessed.  He’s got all 10 toe and 10 fingers!  That is the most important part, no matter what sex, but I did wish for a boy! =)

First time for everything….just hope this won’t be my last

Well….

What can I say, been working long and hard over the last 6 years since getting out of college. I found a wonderful wife and pretty soon I am going to be a father. Strange feeling, but in a good way….

I have certainly grown over the years on the “outside” mostly, but it seems like I have hit a lull in my career. Don’t get me wrong I love what I do and I like who I work for. Commute is only 5 minutes, can anyone complain with the gas prices being outrageous???

I just needed something new to stimulate myself, so I figured, why not be a photographer. I have always considered myself a “Techie,” I love technology and I live for it. I would have never considered myself one to be artsy…. I leave that to my wife……

Who knew I would be writing blogs too….kinda weird. Let me leave you with some pics of how I think I should start this new path. Who knows, it might lead me to a new career, or, just a really expensive hobby.
